Welcome to Zephyrus Welsh

Carrie MacWhorter, owner and trainer at Zephyrus Welsh, began showing Welsh ponies as a young child but managed to escape catching the pony bug, competing primarily on the Arabian A circuit.  As a young adult, training horses while going to College, she got a second chance to work with the Welsh breed.  She began training for Gaslight Farm, Propst Ponies, Chaparral farm and Stone Henge Welsh ponies.  All these lovely ponies, in particular those of Gaslight Farm, converted her to a lifetime Welsh pony enthusiast.

As the years went on Carrie married a terrific guy named Kris.  Kris had big plans for his youngest daughter Sydney.  She was going to be a "car" girl...sorry hubby.... she turned out to be a "pony" girl and now she travels the Country with her wicked step Mother doing a great job showing ponies too.

We continue to train and show both our own ponies and select show ponies for clients.

With an emphasis on the beautiful pony that can perform, we have chosen what we think are some of the very best pedigrees and have selected individuals for our program that have proven themselves to be top National competitors across multiple disciplines.  Our program will remain small and limited to ponies that uphold our high standards.
